{ Animal Love} Top Three Lessons In Bravery And Courage From A Beautiful Dalmatian

I have my own pet care business and it has been growing from word of mouth. I am truly living the dream life I thought about for 18 years as a waitress. I used to envision what it would look like if I was a real business woman. I had read many books about acting “as if” so I decided to implement what I had read into my life.

I made business cards, quit my job, and began telling everyone I knew I had started my own pet care business. It worked and I grew my business from just on dog to multiple dogs and signed up for a dog training course.  My love for animals was what made my business a success. I started applying the principles I learned in books and transformed my life.  More importantly, I was really helping dogs conquer their fears.

A good friend of mine referred me to her friend who had an extremely fearful Dalmatian . She had been adopted by a wonderful family that loved her very much. Bella was beautiful she was a full bred Dalmatian but she was born all black with white spots when the backyard breeders realized they could not get full price for her and her sisters they tried to drown them both of her sisters did not make it. Bella survived and these horrible people threw her out in Los Angeles traffic. She was saved by the Los Angeles Dalmatian Rescue Team. Then she was adopted by a loving couple John and Vicki.  Bella was terrified of everything. Vicki had severe health issues and John worked all day so Bella had never been walked on a leash.

I connected with Bella spiritually and immediately there was a beautiful bond. She knew I understood her and was there to help. I peacefully took some deep breaths and helped Bella out the front door. She pulled back and tried to run back into the house. I did a quick meditation and sent her all the positive energy I could. I worked with Bella three days a week and helped her to believe in herself and conquer her fears by calmly walking up to what she was afraid of . Today Bella runs to the door for her walks she has lots of confidence and has learned to trust that I will never take her into dangerous situations. She loves to conquer her fears and wags her tail when she gets home safely. When we are out on our walks I tell her she is “The Bravest Bella in the world” she smiles at me. She is my prized student and she teaches me each time we are together how to let go of fear and be in the moment.

Top three lessons we can learn from Bella:

1. When you confront your fears they begin to disappear: When you
focus on your fears they get bigger.

2. Live in the moment: Enjoy the blessings around you and focus on
what you are grateful for.

3. Trust that life has a gift for you: If you just show up you will receive it
